In Walworth County, 44% of families report food insecurity at some point during the year. Susan Hughes, director of the Walworth County Food Pantry, will share with us the goals of the food pantry and how we can help. Please bring non-perishable food items and/or diapers to the meeting. If you cannot make this meeting, you can drop off your donations at our office during regular office hours. The food/diaper drive will kick-off our 2019 theme of “Lend a Hand in 19.” A county party 2019 budget will be discussed and adopted during the business portion of meeting. All members are invited to participate in the budget process.
This is our annual “Get to Know the Committees” meeting.
We’ll have representatives from each committee on hand to answer questions and provide information on what the committee does. This is a great time to sign up for one of them and get involved in a small but meaningful way.
We will have a float in both the Elkhorn and Lake Geneva Christmas parades. The Elkhorn parade begins at 1:30 pm and the Lake Geneva parade begins at 5:00 pm. We need people to participate in one or both of the parades. We will be wearing our new blue wave Santa hats. We also need two volunteers to help police the parade route. We’ll be riding on the float rather than walking. Our theme is “lending a hand in 2019” To sign up, click this link: Christmas Parade
